We work on six roofs at a time. That is by design. Every job gets a foreman on site every day, and a phone call from the owner before the first nail.
Natural Slate & Synthetic Slate

On-roof estimate
We walk every plane, take measurements, document with drone photography, and hand you a written proposal in seven days.

Materials and schedule
We order from the mill. You see samples in your hand and a calendar date on paper before the first nail goes in.

Installation and inspection
Crews of four to six. Daily cleanup with a magnet. Final inspection with the homeowner and a transferable warranty.

/ 05About the Workshop
Founded by Henry Crowne in 1962. Run today by his granddaughter Margaret.
Henry came back from Korea and started roofing the houses he had walked past as a kid. Slate, cedar, copper. The materials that matched the architecture of the North Shore.
His son Charles took over in 1991 and brought the company into modern asphalt systems without losing the slate division. He certified the crews under Master Elite and Platinum, and put every truck on the same compliance schedule.
Margaret took the company in 2019. She added drone documentation, digital warranty transfer, and a financing partnership with a local bank. Same family. Same standards. Better paperwork.
